Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Do I have to disassemble my gun before I ship it to be anodized?

A. We do perform disassembly/reassembly but there is a $75.00 surcharge.  If you know how to completely disassemble your gun, you are encouraged to do so, to save you some loot.  Every single set screw, o-ring and plug has to be taken out.  The reg must be disassembled and only the parts that need to be annoed should be sent to us.  If you can almost completely disassemble it, you can send it to us and we can finish the job for a discounted fee.  Another option is to bring it into your local proshop and have them disassemble it for you and send it to us.

Q. How much does anodizing cost?

A. Every job is a bit different, but the basic costs are as follows. This is for a full gun, barrel and all. If there are over 15 pieces there will be additional charges. This price includes stripping off the current anodizing, re-polishing or dusting the marker and coloring it.

Single color anodizing
$155.00

2 color fades/splashes/acid washes:  $175.00

3 color fades/splashes:
$195.00

Custom "tattoos"
$50.00-$100.00

– Custom graphic anodizing: Please email for a quote, but a rough estimate is around $300.00.

Also include $15.00 for return UPS insured shipping with tracking number.

You will also need to complete a job sheet with your parts. You can download a printable job sheet here.

Q. How long does it take?

A. There is a 2 week turnaround time for all general anodizing orders, unless there are additional things that have to be done to it such as graphic laser engraving or milling.  custom jobs such as digital camo or very detailed work can sometimes take more than 2 weeks as well.

Q. What should I do once the gun is disassembled and ready to ship to you?

A. Please email to request a quote and a job number before sending in your gun.

– Things to include in the box when you ship it to us:

– The email you received with the job# and quote info.

– A color sample if you have one

– The parts to be anodized

– Contact info in case we have any questions (phone, email, address)

– A money order (unless you're calling in with a credit card or using paypal)

– A description of what you'd like done.

Q. What happens if I'm not happy when it comes back to me?

A. Depending on the circumstances, we will either anodize it again for free, give you partial re-payment or help you out in any way possible. There are times when we cannot assist you. Example:  If you send us a gun and say you want "blue," we send it to you and it's not the "blue" you'd like, we cannot help you unless there was a color sample. There are about 1000 shades of blue from aqua to midnight. You need to be specific. If there is not a color sp>ample sent, we're sorry. Also, in some jobs that require hand masking, blemishes cannot be helped.  From up close, these blems are brutally apparent, but from normal viewing distance, are almost invisible.  For an example, click here.  Be sure to click the back button, and not close the window. If you are unhappy with your job, you must contact us within 2 weeks of recieving your parts back.

You must contact us within 10 days of the date of delivery confirmation if you are not satisfied.

Q. What qualifies as a color sample?

A. Pretty much anything! A paint chip, piece of fabric, action figure, tear out of a magazine... anything. Sometimes pictures taken with normal cameras are difficult based on the darkness of the photo, and other forms are preferable but we can use home taken photos.

Q. Are there any colors or jobs you can't do?

A. Flourescent colors can not be done.  We can't get flourescent green, but we can get a lime green, for example.  If you have an insane idea, please email us us first.

Q. Can I see what my gun will look like before having it anodized?

A. Yes, we can photoshop your gun, allowing you to see your ideas. See our photoshop information page for details.
